Strength + Award

Sunday, April 26, 2009 Posted by Aimee No comments
Firstly, I'll give you the answer to the brain-teaser I gave you on my previous entry.. Here it is:
He ties the rope round the tree on the shore, and then carries the rope on a walk around the island. As he passes the halfway mark, the rope starts to wrap around the tree on the island, and when he reaches his starting point he ties the other end of the rope to the tree on the shore and pulls himself across on the rope.

And the first two cuties who got it right are: Aldren & Ate Rhoda.. Yay!

Moving on.....
weeeehh! It's so wet today. The cats and dogs are really running wild, eh? Oh well! The other day, the sun was scorching hot and I was bitching about it. And now that "The sky is falling!" [quoted from Chicken Little..LOL], I'm complaining again. It just proves that I never run out of complains or something of that sort, which makes me more of an IE. Ha ha ha!
Anyways, I want to tell you all that the contest is still up and I hope guys will help me win a domain. God! I really want it! Please, please, please... Help me! You just have to drop a sensible comment at her site and tell her I referred you. --CLICK THIS--

And with the Thermodynamics exam I told you about in my last post, I think I aced it again. If not, maybe just one mistake or you know.. Ha ha ha! Thanks to those who wished me good luck! Hope you'll do the same thing again since I'll be having another quiz tomorrow. Strength of Materials naman! whooooah! I don't expect myself to ace this one, what with those shearing, bearing, circumferential stresses and so on, but I still raise my hopes up. Wishful thinking talaga! Weeeeeh! Pray for me, okay?

I'm also happy to tell you, guys, that Ashika gave me an award! I'll put it in my sidebar. A bunch of thanks to her.
And now, I'll give the Award to the following people: Mikyu, Jessa, Janile, Ate Ai~, and Aldren.
Please go here to know the rules in posting XD

And for the post-ender, here's the brain-teaser of the day:
Which comes first, egg or chicken? Explain your answer!! [Explanation is the most important factor here.]

[I'm not talking about the Bible here, FYI. The explanation must be based on facts, or, yeah, scientific.]

And again, NO CHEATING! :) That's all for now. Good luck to all of us XD

Update + Brain-teaser :)

Thursday, April 23, 2009 Posted by Aimee No comments
Hi everyone XD I feel so thrilled today. I don't know why.. I think it's about our Thermodynamics exam tomorrow. I haven't studied yet [maybe later]. I have this giddy feeling that I'll get a high score again. Ha ha ha! Last week, I aced it.. Weeeeehh! I'm not bragging! I'm just so happy about it.. XD

Well, nothing really happened today. I woke up at around six in the morning and getting out of bed seemed to require a good deal of effort. And my first class, Strength of Materials, just so happened to be 2 hours later. So I slept again and woke up [again] at exactly 7:10. Waaah! With my slow-poke motion, 50 minutes don't seem to be enough. Still, I did my best so I could catch up with the time, which, I think, is moving too fast. A little too fast.. huh!

God must really love me. I think he stopped the time for a little while just so I could arrive at school at exactly eight.. Yes, yes, I wasn't late. And good thing our teacher does not usually call the roll, in case I was.
Well, our teacher's really good, not only because he doesn't call the roll, but also because he's plain brilliant. He could easily stimulate our senses and he gives concrete examples. It's really helpful for me because, naturally, I really can't relate with this stuff with the Civil Engineers since it's not wholly in line with my field of study. And our teacher's examples somehow give me something to picture out. And it's really something. My sister also shared that he was almost the Suma Cum Laude during his years. Well, only "almost" because...I don't know. It has something to do with the ROTC!.. Yeah, just that. But he was Magna Cum Laude. It's still good... Ha ha ha! He's got a cute pair of eyes, by the way., especially when he crinkles his nose and all that. It makes him... so youthful! Ha ha ha!

And before I go random again, I'll give you a brain-twister. Well, I think I'll be throwing one every now and then, whenever I feel like it... No, no! I'm not giving prizes here, unfortunately. I'm still broke, you know... It's just up to you if you like to give it a try or something. I'll just plug the sites of the first three people who'll get it right, along with the correct answer, on my next entry.... And no looking at other people's answer. I really do appreciate honesty. :) So here it is, this is really easy....

The figure shows a small island, on which is a tree, in the middle of a large and deep lake, which is 300 yards across. On the shore is another tree.

How might a man, who is unable to swim, with only a length of rope rather more than 300 yards long, get from the shore to the island?

----- Brain-teasers sure make me miss D' Hacienderas. We had a whole lot of those before, with Mikyu being the one who do the questioning and the rest of us would squeeze our brains until we got the right answer... hhhmmmm.. nostalgia much?! Ha ha ha!

Real Estate

Thursday, April 23, 2009 Posted by Aimee No comments
Real Estate... would you believe it if I say that I'm planning on getting into this business when I get older and collected more $$$? Well, yeah! It really is my dream. I don't know why... I've read this book Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki when I was only a first year college student and that is how I got the idea.
But I know it needs a lot of money in starting this kind of stuff.. So when I found the Wilmington NC Real Estate, it's like a sprinkle of hope. I'm not doing business with them, for your information. I'm just thinking of a house, a place where [maybe] i could live one day, when I decide to stay away from this place. I have Arizona already on my list. And I want a new one to add to it. Yeah, talking about choices.
So, with Wilmington NC Real Estate, it's really affordable, if you compare it to some other coastal real estate markets outside of Wilmington. And here, I found this Forest Hills Wilmington NC Home for Sale. Take a look....

the front, rear, office, and yard..

I think the house is really cozy! And with the yard, I can really picture out Snow White in it! Ha ha ha! I just don't know why...

Maribago Bluewater Summer Blowout :)

Wednesday, April 22, 2009 Posted by Aimee No comments
oh! Summer, summer, summer!!! And what's the best thing about it?... Outings!!! But I haven't started hanging out yet, what with these summer classes. I'm taking Strength of Materials and Thermodynamics for now... And in between these classes, one of my friends mentioned something about the Beach! Well, I was thinking about the movie, the one with Leonardo. ROFL! *silly me*

And later I found out that it was about special SUMMER BLOWOUT by the Maribago Bluewater Beach Resort! It will be this May 16, 2009. [Mikyu told me about it!]
Well, I haven't really heard about this resort before. I'm not really familiar with the resorts here. *poor me* But when I looked over the net, these are what I found...

Tempting, indeed!!! And whoever said that the best things in life are expensive must be really joking because this summer blowout is FREE, like, you know... I don't have to dig up the dictionary for the meaning of the word!!! It's even more tempting, eh? wahahaha...
Cebu Bloggers Society is invited to this and I'm happy to be part of it!!! My system could not really afford to miss this thing...again! If time permits, this would be my first time [or second if you would count the first meeting] to hang out with my fellow CBS members since I was not able to attend the CBS Camp Out last weekend :( So sad!...

Well, I'm really looking forward to this event! Maribago Bluewater sure looks soooooo much like a summer haven! :)

You can visit PINOYWORLD to know more about this special blowout, and Maribago Bluewater Blog for the resort's stuffs, events and promos.

Catch you there, guys! :)

[/Off-topic/] I'm thinking of removing my tagboard, it somewhat annoys me sometimes... People keep saying, "blah2x was here!" and don't even comment or something. I bet they're not even reading the posts... Haaaaayy!.. Okay, tell me what you think about me-removing-my-tagboard!! Thanx, guys! [/Off-topic/]

Boyle-n' Over!

A lot of people ask about Adam Lambert! Well, he's good, regardless of him being gay or whatever. I love his voice. He's a good performer and versatile, indeed!!! Simon even gave him a standing ovation. How cool is that?!? Ha ha ha!

Another lazy Saturday XD

Apparently, I have a new layout [credits on the bottom] Free Smiley Face Courtesy of www.FreeSmileys.org I've been wanting to change it for like a month already, but I'm too lazy to edit one. But I don't know what had gotten into my system yesterday that finally I was able to get past my laziness and edited this one. I kinda love the way it was made, coded and bloggerized, if there's even a word like that, by Falcon Hive. Ha ha ha! (I hope I'll get paid for this! Free Smiley Face Courtesy of www.FreeSmileys.org) Kidding!! [or not!]

That's it. I love the layout. I hope you do also coz if not, I'll bite your head off. Ha ha ha Free Smiley Face Courtesy of www.FreeSmileys.org I also added some Blogger Hacks I found online. I think it's really adorable and colorful. And if you don't have any idea yet what I'm saying, you should hover on the links, any link you could find here on my blog.... Done?? Well, I hope you enjoyed, because I certainly did. I don't know if I'm just being outdated or something, but I simply like it! It's novel to me...and I love novel discoveries and things Free Smiley Face Courtesy of www.FreeSmileys.org

And, hey! I bought a new DVD this afternoon. It's Forrest Gump.

Yeah, it's not a new movie but, since I really love Tom Hanks and I haven't seen it before, I could not help myself. I bought the DVD on impulse talaga. And I watched the movie immediately and realized that my impulsiveness was worth it! It was a really good movie Free Smiley Face Courtesy of www.FreeSmileys.org and I recommend it to those who haven't seen it and are planning to watch something worth the time. Well, the movie made me realize that life is not really about intelligence and stuff. It's not about having the highest IQ. Life is about doing things your own way and being the best of what you have and what you are.
And yeah, Life is like a box of chocolate... Wanna know why?.. You better watch Forrest Gump to find out Free Smiley Face Courtesy of www.FreeSmileys.org

PS: I joined Ate Ai~'s contest! I hope you'll help me win this time, guys Free Smiley Face Courtesy of www.FreeSmileys.org I badly need a domain. All you have to do is comment on her posts or something. You have to indicate that I referred you XD Please please!!! :) I put the button on my sidebar. You can click it if you want to know more XD Thank you so much! Free Smiley Face Courtesy of www.FreeSmileys.org

Randomness yet again...

Tuesday, April 14, 2009 Posted by Aimee , , , 10 comments
It's good to know that there are a lot of things you could do at Plurk. Aside from the usual connecting-with-friends-or-acquaintances, there's the catching-information, some necessary bits and some just trivial.

And, just recently, Josua [we're not close though], plurked something about some of those 3D stuff. It looked almost real that I could only stare at it, wide-eyed with amazement... Well, a lot of thank-you to Joshua for sharing.

I was never really familiar with the things with Maya. My first encounter with it was through Gel, with this entry. So these are really new to me. And, man!! Those photos look like the ones you took with your handy cameras.. So damn good!!!! Free Smiley Face Courtesy of www.FreeSmileys.org

You can also find more here... Amazing, ain't it?

That's not all! I also went through with that certain post's replies, and someone there shared another site, cracked.com. I found myself rummaging for something interesting. There were articles under the "More Funny Stuff" category that showcased the almost-unbelievable pieces...which I found fascinating and entirely entertaining. There were articles such as 15 Images You Won't Believe Aren't Photoshopped, If Everything In Life Came With Warning Labels, etc. But what really caught my attention was the one that stated something about Balut claiming the #1 spot that on The 6 Most Terrifying Foods in the World. [sikat na naman Pilipinas! Free Smiley Face Courtesy of www.FreeSmileys.org]

But would you agree with that? Kasi I eat balut and it sure tastes real great. It may look and sound terrifying to eat a duck fetus, but, man, balut would really prove the don't-judge-a-book-by-its-cover cliche right.

BTW, I watched Dragonball Evolution with Eugene, Mikyu and Jessa last Monday, the official start of summer classes. But, as always, the first few days of the first week would fall as the adjustment period, so no classes still.

As a kid, I had been an avid fan of the series. Though I was pissed off with GMA because they would always rewind the whole thing to the first episode even if the whole story wasn't finished yet. Like when Gohan already was a teenager on that night's episode, then the next day, he's back to being a kid. Oh well! GMA.. Free Smiley Face Courtesy of www.FreeSmileys.org No offense, GMA fans! Ha ha ha! :) -->

Well, the movie was good. I wasn't satisfied, though, but I wasn't disappointed, either. I'm just looking forward to the next part because, apparently, it has one or even several of them. I'm not sure. Dragonball was one hell of a series. And it was a lengthy one.

hhhmmmm.... Justin Chatwin is an OH-MY-GOD-HE'S-ONE-HELL-OF-A-CUTIE dude Free Smiley Face Courtesy of www.FreeSmileys.org

Home sweet home...

Monday, April 13, 2009 Posted by Aimee No comments
My Good Friday was spent in our town somewhere in the Leyte area [Matalom Leyte]. Well, partly. Because on the afternoon, Papa and I went back to Maasin City to attend the procession :) --> I was kinda glad because, for some reasons, I don't want to sleep in Matalom. Yeah, the place is so cozy. Maybe a little too much. The greeneries outside our house could almost blind you. Like everywhere you look at, there are trees, grasses and the like. It's not that I abhor those kind of stuffs. It's just that they're making everything cold. Or probably because our house there isn't finished yet.

Imagine, my bedroom is still like imaginary. Ha ha ha! I still don't have a bed and stuff! Well, I just hope our house will be finished sooner because I'm currently eyeing a bed that conforms with my description of cozy-enough. It doesn't cost so much, by the way. I think the price is just enough. Have a look...

It's one of the rustic furnitures I saw at scenicfurniture.com :) --> Yeah, I know! It's really cool. It really blends with the environment of Matalom. It's a province and it has a lot of trees. And this Rustic Log Bed is just about perfect, with its rugged-yet-elegant look. I'm gonna tell my mom about this great find. I'm sure she'll love this also. And I hope that as soon as possible, we'll finish the house na. The excitement is something I could hardly contain. Weeeeehh! :) -->

SUMMER!! XD Yeah, the beach-time, go-out-and-have-fun moments!!!
But I only have this week to enjoy the hassle-free "vacation" because, by next week, I'll be having summer classes already. I already added Thermodynamics and Strength of Materials in my subjects-to-take list. Actually, I'll take three but I'm still weighing my options on the third [and naghahanap pa 'ko ng kasama]. Well, I don't wanna go inside a room full of strangers noh! I don't usually talk to strangers eh, kasi I'm not good with the conversation-initiation stuff. So to be safe, I'm looking for a karamay Free Smiley Face Courtesy of www.FreeSmileys.org

I also don't want to neglect my online activities kaya all subjects I enrolled sa morning lahat so that hindi masyado drain yung energy for the blogging stuff! Free Smiley Face Courtesy of www.FreeSmileys.org I need to earn moolah also. Everyone wants it and I'm no different. My folks won't let me apply for a summer job kasi baka daw mapagod ako, mahirap na! Free Smiley Face Courtesy of www.FreeSmileys.org Kaya I'll stick to blogging nalang.
And with that, I signed up at PayingPost.com. The blog advertising and stuff!
Actually, I already tried this before and I wondered why I didn't have a task for so long. And I realized that I haven't put the code on my site pala. *silly me* Another get-paid-to-post site. Haha.. I'm totally desperate!!!
And now that I put the code already, I got a task agad.. Bilis noh?!
I also love their layout. It's so eye-friendly. It's their new layout. *yay!*

Sunday, Sunday!!

Sunday, April 05, 2009 Posted by Aimee 21 comments
I'm in Leyte again [I was in Cebu yesterday.]
I arrived here at around 4 in the morning. It was really an exhausting trip kasi we had to sit lang talaga the whole 5 hours na byahe. It kinda drained my energy kaya my mind's not functioning really well ngayon Free Smiley Face Courtesy of www.FreeSmileys.org Yeah, I looked so stale!!!

So I stayed at the sala and watched Project Runway on ETC. I kinda enjoyed it [see, how boring it is here? Free Smiley Face Courtesy of www.FreeSmileys.org] Well, for today's episode, though I think it was only a replay, the participants were tasked to make a dress that the fresh graduates could wear in their job interviews or something. And the one who won [I forgot the name, sorry], I think his work was indeed the best.
Moving on, after that show, I switched the channel to HBO. They were showing Definitely, Maybe. It was a cool movie, although I wasn't able to see it from the start. Well, another love story! And I fell like having a movie marathon again Free Smiley Face Courtesy of www.FreeSmileys.org via cable. ha ha ha!

And in the afternoon, Papa decided to eat out. Weeeeeehh! Merienda time Free Smiley Face Courtesy of www.FreeSmileys.org We only have Jollibee here, so no choice. Sana nga next time may McDo na, or KFC or kahit ano. Kasi I'm getting bored with Jobee eh.
Ha ha ha! So I went to Jollibee with my folks and they even brought along my nephew. ha ha! that little kid... And I was camwhoring again. Sinali ko pa yung bata.. Here...

ayun! I really love the 4th picture Free Smiley Face Courtesy of www.FreeSmileys.org He really asked me to have him photographed. Nakakawang bata.. Moody nga lang! Free Smiley Face Courtesy of www.FreeSmileys.org

And to all CBS people, thank you so much for the warmest welcome! Free Smiley Face Courtesy of www.FreeSmileys.org

Weeeeeeeh! I'm an official member na Free Smiley Face Courtesy of www.FreeSmileys.org I enjoyed the meeting. I never thought it was that... BIG TIME!!! I thought kasi halos teenagers lahat. Ha ha ha! And, for the record, that was my first time in IT Park [Cebu]. Kaya maraming, maraming Thank You ulit Free Smiley Face Courtesy of www.FreeSmileys.org

Cars! Cars! Wow...

Sunday, April 05, 2009 Posted by Aimee No comments
Cars had somewhat become a necessity for today's generation. Not only it ensures safety from snatchers and the scorching heat of the sun [with the aircon], it also gives us the convenience of having to travel from place to place.
So nowadays, people are rally looking for cars, or even used cars. And I found this site that helps us find good cars, the Buy Your Car. It also provides individual car reviews which might help people in choosing what to buy.

I browsed the site and this is what I found.

BMW 3 Series 330i M Sport Convertible. I like BMW. It's simple yet elegant. But when you ask me my all-time favorite car, hmmmm... Nothing could beat this one...

It's a Lamborghini. The first time aI saw this, I was like WOW!.. I really hope that one day I will be able to find it in Buy Your Car.
Well, there's a lot you can do in buyyourcar.co.uk. You will find there new cars, used cars and the things about cars [any brand]. It's pretty amazing, especially when you're planning to buy one. You can even advertise your car or something, if you wanna sell it.
Ha ha! It's a good thing I found this site. I might tell my auntie to check this out. She's in UK and she might also find this interesting.
