December Highlight XD

Tuesday, December 30, 2008 Posted by Aimee 6 comments
Well.. December!! What can I say? December is the most eventful month of the year, I suppose. We have this Christmas day and the Christmas parties with friends, with families, outings, etc.
And on the good-student side, we had this so-called seminar where we were divided into groups of five and our class consists of only 25 students. So that leaves us with only five groups. Every group is to conduct a company study of the three different industries assigned by the teacher. It was a tiring activity with, you know, finding industries and contacting them and they were so stubborn that they won't let us observe their processes and all. So we have to find another and so on.
Also we have this last-minute attitude. We were like "pressured". ha ha ha! Whatever.
To make things short...We found three companies -- one for leather, gelatin, and feed mill. It was all fun. And the seminar was indeed a SUCCESS!(December 17, 2008) ha ha ha... And I had a treat to myself that day :)

[I had a doughnut and ice cream. Yan lang kasi yung available that time. ha ha ha! medyo weird yung mukha ko dyan kasi hindi nag-count yung photographer.. hahaha.. oh well!]

My Latest Read :)

Meet Ashley Patterson, the brainy, babelicious "computer whiz" and confused heroine of Tell Me Your Dreams. Although she has a cushy job at Global Computer Graphics, a fast-growing start-up in Silicon Valley, her life falls short of fulfilling. She's lonely, shy, and absolutely convinced she's being stalked. What's worse, the only sympathetic ear around is her father, Dr. Patterson, the heartless heart surgeon, who has the charm of an electric eel and the compassion of a tarantula. Given her options, Ashley looks to the heavens for support and offers up an ultimatum to the Almighty: "I'll make a deal with you, God. If it doesn't rain, it means that everything is all right, that I've been imagining everything." Of course, it starts raining buckets just paragraphs later, setting off a car alarm of an omen about our computer cutie's fate.Enter Toni Prescott and Alette Peters. They both work with Ashley at Global Computer Graphics, but the similarities end there. Toni is a saucy, British vixen with a penchant for Internet dating and discotheques. La bella Italiana Alette, on the other hand, is a wannabe artist who prefers quiet, dreamy weekends withbeefcake painters. Reminiscent of junior high school, Toni and Alette do their best to keep Ashley out of their cool clique, but find it difficult when a string of murders irrevocably binds them together.Based on a true story and laden with realistic details--not to mention a whopper of an ending--Tell Me Your Dreams is vintage Sheldon. However, there is one necessary caveat: avoid moviegoer types who insist on telling you the entire plot before you have a chance to see it. You should be doing this anyway, but take extra care with this book. Once the surprise ending is blown, so is the fun in reading it.

Anak ng DAR chief: ‘KAMI ANG SINUGOD AT SINAKTAN!’

Sunday, December 28, 2008 Posted by Aimee 1 comment
I saw this certain news online about the incident in Valley Golf and Country Club. Actually I posted the Dela Paz's daughter's side. It's the preceding post to this one. and I have to say that the mayor was plain rude. Who the hell he is to say, "Hindi nila kami kilala! Sabihin mo nga sa kanila kung sino ako!"

Who the hell was he anyway?!?!

We can see that he's just so proud. And people elected him as the mayor. Well, a public servant. What a shame to our country..

And in Abante Tonite's site, i saw this.
Well, judge for yourself!

It's just so "EEEWWW"

Every time I surf the net, first thing I open talaga is my plurk account. Na-shock talaga ako dahil one of the plurkers there posted something. It goes to all readers, sabi basahin daw namin. Tapos binasa ko rin. It was a blog post pala by her former classmate. I just can't imagine her pain. Her father daw kasi and her younger brother binugbog. Well, it was a politician--the mayor of Masiu City, Lanao del Sur-- and his flightmates who attacked them. And to think that I am a Filipino, it's so shameful!! They're using their power to attack a 56-year old father and a 14-year old boy. Sinabi pa, "Hindi nila kami kilala! Sabihin mo nga sa kanila kung sino ako!"

Pride is taking over them and it's just plain rude.
Here is the rest of the story if you want to know more. [click here!] And if you please, spread the news.
I hope this reaches the media para mabigyan ng justice yung pamilya nila.

Eco-Friendly Water-Powered Clock Blue

Thursday, December 18, 2008 Posted by Aimee , No comments

Save money on batteries!
This clock is powered by water!
The epitome of a greener gadget.
With sustainable design and practical function in mind, this Eco-Friendly clock is actually powered by the very salt and water mixture that occupies 70% of the earth’s surface!
Without the need for batteries, the Eco-Friendly clock keeps perfect time as electrodes harvest energy from the water.
All you have to do to make the clock run is fill its tank up with tap water and depending on the particles that are in your water system you may need to add a small amount of table salt.
We also recommend that you cut a lemon in half and squeeze some lemon juice into the water tank.
This procedure will enhance the power generated by the clock and make it work more efficiently.
You need to change the water in the tank every so often and add water when it evaporates.
The clock has a memory function that remembers the time as you change the water. Save on the cost of buying batteries! Measuring approximately 4” high and 3.5” wide, this playful yet eco-conscious timepiece is truly what’s next in going green.
Do your part and participate in the fight against global warming today!

Change at Tumblr :)

Thursday, December 18, 2008 Posted by Aimee No comments

The moment I saw this photo at tumbler, it kept getting into my mind. I find it so simple, yet so deep, so poignant :)

Well, I just remembered that I made a facebook account pala last April 2008. Ngayon ko lang naalala. If not for Eugene seeing my photo there, I wouldn't have remembered na nag-sign up pala ako.. ha ha ha! The silly that I am... Well, okay, you can visit my profile here! I haven't customized it yet. Eh sa na-bo-bore kasi ako dun! Updates are flooding and it bugs me. :)

Anyways, I made my Tumblr account an hour ago. It's a simple blogging tool.
Well, I already "reblogged" some of the images I found in icanread. Statement images, mostly. XD

Enjoy! :)

I Do Not Love You

Saturday, December 06, 2008 Posted by Aimee No comments
I do not love you as if you were salt-rose, or topaz,
or the arrow of carnations the fire shoots off.
I love you as certain dark things are to be loved,
in secret, between the shadow and the soul.

I love you as the plant that never blooms
but carries in itself the light of hidden flowers;
thanks to your love a certain solid fragrance,
risen from the earth, lives darkly in my body.

I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where.
I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride;
so I love you because I know no other way

than this: where I does not exist, nor you,
so close that your hand on my chest is my hand,
so close that your eyes close as I fall asleep.

Ode to the Book

Saturday, December 06, 2008 Posted by Aimee No comments
When I close a book
I open life.
I hear
faltering cries
among harbours.
Copper ignots
slide down sand-pits
to Tocopilla.
Night time.
Among the islands
our ocean
throbs with fish,
touches the feet, the thighs,
the chalk ribs
of my country.
The whole of night
clings to its shores, by dawn
it wakes up singing
as if it had excited a guitar.

The ocean's surge is calling.
The wind
calls me
and Rodriguez calls,
and Jose Antonio--
I got a telegram
from the "Mine" Union
and the one I love
(whose name I won't let out)
expects me in Bucalemu.

No book has been able
to wrap me in paper,
to fill me up
with typography,
with heavenly imprints
or was ever able
to bind my eyes,
I come out of books to people orchards
with the hoarse family of my song,
to work the burning metals
or to eat smoked beef
by mountain firesides.
I love adventurous
books,
books of forest or snow,
depth or sky
but hate
the spider book
in which thought
has laid poisonous wires
to trap the juvenile
and circling fly.
Book, let me go.
I won't go clothed
in volumes,
I don't come out
of collected works,
my poems
have not eaten poems--
they devour
exciting happenings,
feed on rough weather,
and dig their food
out of earth and men.
I'm on my way
with dust in my shoes
free of mythology:
send books back to their shelves,
I'm going down into the streets.
I learned about life
from life itself,
love I learned in a single kiss
and could teach no one anything
except that I have lived
with something in common among men,
when fighting with them,
when saying all their say in my song.

Decode by Paramore

Thursday, October 02, 2008 Posted by Aimee No comments

How can I decide what's right
When you're clouding up my mind?
I can't win
You're losing sight
All the time
Not gonna ever own what's mine
When you're always taking sides
But you won't take away my pride
No, not this time
Not this time
How did we get here?
I used to know you so well
How did we get here?
Well, I think I know
The truth is hiding in your eyes
And it's hanging on your tongue
Just boiling in my blood
But you think that I can't see
What kind of man that you are
If you're a man at all
Well, I will figure this one out
On my own
(I'm screaming, "I love you so")
On my own
(My thoughts you can't decode)
How did we get here?
I used to know you so well, yeah
How did we get here?
Well, I think I know
Do you see what we've done?
We've gone and made such fools
Of ourselves
Do you see what we've done?
We've gone and made such fools
Of ourselves
How did we get here?
I used to know you so well, yeah
How did we get here?
Well, I used to know you so well
I think I know
I think I know
There is something I see in you
It might kill me
I want it to be true

Unexpected Twist

Saturday, September 27, 2008 Posted by Aimee No comments
  • 1:45am -- finish na sa New Moon. OKAY will just be an understatement. It's simply more than that. =)
  • I woke up at 6:45am and even just opening my eyes required great effort. Damn! I'm too weak to even think of waking.
But eventually I did. I had to. So I hurried, I can't afford to be late. No, I don't want people staring at me the moment I reach the door.
Luckily or unluckily [for my slumber's sake], Sir Embalzado was late. He made it at 9am and Plastic discussion followed (group discussion)...
we had lunch at Lasang foodpark...
  • 12:30 -- study for Mechanics.. I'll be doomed! :(
  • 2:30 -- Time for Mechanics but no sir Larida yet..
  • I think he arrived at 3 or 3:30pm and we proceeded to room 247T. [No permanent room, just settled for the available ones.]... We had a little discussion.
  • 4:30 -- Time seems inevitable and so time's-up moments had its claim. The exam, I haven;'t studied well enough to survive that dreaded instant. But, to our surprise, it was like our Thermo, open-everything-you-can-open exam, which amazingly translates "legal cheating." It's not as bitter as it sounds, though. [well, for failing student's sake!]
Anyway, it was legal cheating. So I'm not gonna be sentenced to a boundless guilt and regret if I was caught runnign around looking for answers.
I really coudn't grasp a thing and I hold myself responsible for that, since Mr. Larida clearly demonstrates thorough knowledge about the subject. It's probably me, I'm the problem here (mostly, if putting aside his "absenot" label). I easily got distracted, to the extent that the room started spinning as he spoke. ha ha ha!

I'm good at other things, nevertheless! :)

Friday, September 26, 2008 Posted by Aimee No comments
  • 10:30am -- having Advanced Stat! sir gimena, as cute as ever! hahaha.. I just can't find it in my mind to focus. My mind is so occupied by the exams ahead. so much that it started to spill out.
  • 11:30am -- answering sample 4 in chapter 11.
  • 11:50am -- Publisher for IE Elec [lec]... boring! Always boring. It's something constant.. :(
  • My mind wanders a lot. Now it's heading to my bhaus. I see myself reading New Moon. I can't wait for edward to return, miss him so bad like i was bella. =(
  • Thermo exam was a so-so! The first number, I didn't know. I just peeked in Mikyu's answer and so I got close to the right one, just close though.. But I managed to get perfect for the second number, or so I believe. It was open-book-open-notes exam and I got the 2nd one in my notes. :)
  • 2:40pm -- [busy] Having oral exam in accounting...

TWILIGHT is an action-packed, modern day love story between a vampire and a human. Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) has always been a little bit different, never caring about fitting in with the trendy girls at her Phoenix high school.  When her mother remarries and sends Bella to live with her father in the rainy little town of Forks, Washington, she doesn’t expect much of anything to change.  Then she meets the mysterious and dazzlingly beautiful Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), a boy unlike any she’s ever met.  Intelligent and witty, he sees straight into her soul.  Soon, Bella and Edward are swept up in a passionate and decidedly unorthodox romance.  Edward can run faster than a mountain lion, he can stop a moving car with his bare hands – and he hasn’t aged since 1918.  Like all vampires, he’s immortal.   But he doesn’t have fangs, and he doesn’t drink human blood; Edward and his family are unique among vampires in their lifestyle choice.  To Edward, Bella is that thing he has waited 90 years for – a soul mate.  But the closer they get, the more Edward must struggle to resist the primal pull of her scent, which could send him into an uncontrollable frenzy.  But what will Edward & Bella do when James (Cam Gigandet), Laurent (Edi Gathegi) and Victoria (Rachelle Lefevre), the Cullens’ mortal vampire enemies, come to town, looking for her?

ABOUT TWILIGHT: Based on the current #1 New York Times Bestselling series (30 weeks and counting) with over 5.5 million books in print by Stephenie Meyer, TWILIGHT is a cultural phenomenon, with a dedicated fanbase that eagerly awaits this movie.  There are over 100 fan sites devoted to Twilight, and it has been chosen as the New York Times  Editor’s Choice, a Publishers Weekly Best Book of the Year, Amazon’s “Best Book of the Decade…So Far”, Teen People’s “Hot List” Pick, The American Library Association’s “Top Ten Best Book for Young Adults” and “Top Ten Books for Reluctant Readers” and has been translated into 20 languages.   Critically acclaimed director Catherine Hardwicke brings to life this modern, visual, and visceral Romeo & Juliet story of the ultimate forbidden love affair – between vampire and mortal.

U.S. release via Summit Entertainment, November 21st, 2008.

My Happy Thursday

  • 3:10pm - Having Advanced Math, I can't understand a word, might as well ditch class, but i can't. I'm only counting on my attendance to pass... =(
  • Eugene texted that we meet in ayala for us to meet Nelson. But after a couple of minutes, there's a change of plan..
  • I could still feel the aftermath of the heated discussion an hour ago and I can't think straight. I'm furios in a way. Still furios..
Oh yeah! Humans do change their minds every now and then, especially with women. I don't know. I think it's just human nature. I now find myself listening to advanced math. I don't know why, but I just wanted to focus.

  • 4:15pm - We were on our feet for a walk--long walk actually--looking for a make-up artist (har har!). As we head our way south, in front of Cheaver's, we met Engilbert. Well, we're extremely surprised. We did the catching up talking and stuff. We missed him, really. You know, not having seen him for quite a century already. He looked almost exactly he same, except for the evident fact, he got healthier.
Lucky he offered some dessert. He's now working as a call center agent , so no biggie!
Jollibee was the closest dessert haven, so we went there. We talked and laughed, like we always did, [oh yeah!]-- like we always do, I should say. Most of us got sundae, so to speak... We had fun. :]

Going home was like bursting the bubble, but we had to. Jeff, Leslie and Shalee had to head further south. And I, Mikyu, Jo, Yo, and Bert went back to the school's direction. I had to go to Hyperlink and Bert to his friends' flat.

Eugene waited for me at Hyperlink and we surfed the net. I was having conversation with Leslie and Mikyu thru YM. But my mic or the headphone, I don't now, was not working well enough. My impatience elevated, so I decided to go home. I have thermo to study for. Well, I failed in my Mid-term, so I need to double up my effort for the last quiz tomorrow.

Thirty-three facts not disclosed in the book..

Sunday, August 24, 2008 Posted by Aimee 1 comment
1.Prefects can take points; Ron got it wrong in Order of the Phoenix, which makes him a pretty poor prefect, eh?

2.Fred and George Weasley were born on April Fools' day (no joke).

3.Ginny Weasley's first name is Ginevra, and she is the first female Weasley born for "several generations," says JKR.

4.Arthur Weasley has two brothers.

5.Molly Weasley's maiden name is Prewett.

6.Crookshanks is half Kneazle.

7.The infamous Weasley cousin who was cut from the books was named Mafalda. She was in Slytherin.

8.Dean Thomas's father was killed by Death Eaters when he refused to join them. Neither Dean nor his mother know.
Dean Thomas was named Gary in the first drafts of the Philosopher's Stone.

9.Hagrid, Lily, and James were in Gryffindor. (Hagrid was NOT in Hufflepuff.)

10.Hogwarts has about a thousand students. (True, that number doesn't seem right, but J.K.R. said so, and she's the boss.)

11.James Potter was a Chaser on the Gryffindor Quidditch team (although the movie claimed he was a Seeker).

12.Hermione's birthday is September 19th; Ron's is March 1st.

13.James Potter inherited lots of money and didn't need a well-paying profession.

14.James Potter inherited the Invisibility Cloak from his father.

15.Witches and wizards have longer life-spans than Muggles.

16.The Gringotts' goblins return the Muggle money they acquire back into circulation.

17.The approximate value of a Galleon is about five pounds ($7.30 or 8.00 Euro), though the exchange rate varies.

18.Dumbledore is 150, McGonagall is 70 (and is really an old softy; she just doesn't act like it), Snape is 35 or 36.

19.Hogwarts' school motto, "Draco Dormiens Nunquam Titillandus," means, "Never tickle a sleeping dragon."

20.If placed in front of a mirror, the inscription on the Mirror of Erised ("Erised stra ehru oyt ube cafru oyt on wohsi") reads, "I show not your face but your heart's desire."

21.The happiest people do not become ghosts (12). (Therefore, we can assume that ghosts are people that died while sad, angry, etc. Myrtle was teased; Nearly Headless Nick didn't have his head completely chopped off; the Bloody Baron was...lonely?)

22.The Hogwarts teachers do not stay at Hogwarts during the Christmas holidays. However, Filch, Hagrid, and Dumbledore do.

23.A few of the Hogwarts professors have spouses, but that information is restricted for reasons we will find out about later. (5)

24.To remove the tail that Hagrid gave Dudley in the hut on the rock, the Dursleys went to a private hospital where the staff was very discreet, and said that a wart had gone out of control. (9)

25.Aragog is an Acromantula (see Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them). (6)

26.Dragons can't be domesticated, no matter what Hagrid thinks. (6)

27.There is more to the cats in the story (Crookshanks, Mrs. Figg's cats, Mrs. Norris, etc.) than meets the eye. (9)

28.The animal an Animagus turns into is a reflection on his/her personality. (8)

29.For Hagrid, keeping dangerous creatures is all about overcoming something that could kill him. (6)

30.Azkaban is in a sea north of the North Sea. A very cold sea. (12)

31..You can do unfocused and uncontrolled magic without a wand (like when Harry blows up Aunt Marge), but to perform really good spells, you need a wand. (5)

32. Muggle education is not required for wizard children prior to attending Hogwarts. (9)

33.A magical quill detects the birth of every magical child and records it in a book and Professor McGonagall sends an owl to each child when he or she turns eleven. (14)

Gossip Girl XOXO

Friday, August 22, 2008 Posted by Aimee No comments

I love Gossip Girl.
Can't wait for the next season.
I bought it's first season, watched it and lovin' it. The episodes got a lot to offer. You will be thrilled.
Believe me, I cried, laughed. Well, I had fun, to narrow it down.
Every teenager, with a highlight on ladies, can pretty much relate with this series. It's a typical life of teens -- the boys, gossips, frienemies, fashion, jealousy.
Hahahaha, indeed from-BOYS-to-NAIL-POLISH series.
Something awaits every episode, like a surprise. And every bit of it is worth watching... :D

Sidney Sheldon R.I.P. Rock In Perpetuity!

Friday, August 22, 2008 Posted by Aimee No comments

Sidney Sheldon dies

January 31, 2007

And so this is Sidney Sheldon, one of my favorite authors.
I have always adored his works -- the best laid plans, master of the game, etc, etc.
He has this sense in writing that is so inviting. Though I haven't really seen him in person, I feel his passion. He drives me to tears, to excitement, to thrill and to a world so different from here.
Although he won an Academy Award, a Tony, and A few Emmys, I’ll always remember him as one of the humblest, most genuine people I’ve ever known with an incredible work ethic.
He once said, “Don’t talk about writing…Do it!”
I’m doin’ it, Sidney…Thank You! R.I.P. Rock In Perpetuity!

"I try to construct them so when the reader gets to the end of a chapter, he or she has to read just one more chapter. It's the technique of the old Saturday afternoon serial: leave the guy hanging on the edge of the cliff at the end of the chapter." - Sidney Sheldon

Kyle XY

Friday, August 22, 2008 Posted by Aimee No comments

This is Kyle XY.. obviously..
Well, just heard this from Eugene. Well, he and his pal, Angelo, actually. They've seen it first on Studio 23. And they said it's nice. I was so hooked up to Grey's Anatomy that time that I did not mind. I even thought that it was some kinda cartoon or anime thingy, you know the boy thingy.
Then one day :) I went to this DVD store with my friends and saw this cover on the DVD, the Kyle XY, and I was so thrilled because it was human, really. hahaha.. Well, not really human but doesn't matter, it's not caricature or something. So I bought it, watched it, and you know what happened next... hahaha..
I now have it's fourth season and I love it. The physics thingy, Kyle being so exceptional..
I don't mean to spoil things, so watch it for yourself... :D

Grey's Anatomy Season 4

Friday, August 22, 2008 Posted by Aimee No comments

I bought a Grey's Anatomy season 4 with Shalee ans Suyin a while ago. I was really looking for a copy of it long before. I've seen lots though, but I just can't afford that time. You know, I'm always poverty-stricken and it's not a shock.. hahaha..
Anyway, I love this series because, though I'm not a medical student or something related to that sort of stuff, the feelings, the scenes, their ravings, I can relate really. I don't know, but I just love this kind of crappies. The sappy moments, the funny ones, everything. It drives me to tears. I'm a cry baby anyway and I kinda like it. Well, no choice.. Lols!..

Colby O' Donis- What You Got ft Akon [Official Music Video]

Friday, August 15, 2008 Posted by Aimee 2 comments
Here's a music video. This was released about months ago, I can't be sure. I heard this one about a million times by now and, still, I haven't gotten over it yet.
I love this song because it somewhat reminds me of D' Hacienderas, my "sorority" in school. hahaha.. Well, it's really a sorority but I love to call it as such because the sound of it makes a B-A-N-G impact. hahaha...

But I only have here a link since the resolution won't fit in my post area.. Feel free to enjoy it.

Paid to Click and/or Review Sites

I'm really having this urge to make money and I'm more desperate now. I signed up every money-offering sites though I haven't known a lot of them. Well, just wish me luck, okay.

I'm just thinking...
We have our Material science subject and there's something I learned. Once, we had this lesson about WOOD and an idea just hit me. I started to think that wood industry would be an excellent idea. Well, for the past years I haven' really thought of what I wanted to do, wanted to be, and future stuffs. I don't know, maybe this notion is for this time only but I just wanted to share. Yeah, I say it again, Wood industry would be great.
And maybe someday, oh! yes, one day I'm gonna be bragging about my company, a furniture maybe. I love things. I just love everything. And one day when I'm gonna build my own home, and you'll see my self-designed chairs, and stuff...
hahaha.. Now, I'm picturing my home. It would be as lovely, as picturesque as I thought.

hahaha.. Princesses sore high, right?! :)

I don't know. The idea just struck me and I wanted to write or something...
That would be all for now. I'll think of something worthwhile to post next time.. :D
I'll keep you posted, that's for sure...

What Happens in Vegas

Saturday, August 02, 2008 Posted by Aimee 1 comment
I watched What Happens in Vegas a while ago and it got me all corny-whatever thingy. I cried, yeah! I don't know why, but on the part when they were on the court for like their so-what-now decision & Cameron decides a divorce leaving the $3M to Ashton, I got all heavy-hearted. hahaha.. The movie was not sappy. I was the one making it as such. I don't know but I get so defenseless with movies, books & stuffs of some sort. I'm so vulnerable to tears & I hate it at times. XD But I got used to it.. hahaha :D

It means no worries.
Advanced Engineering Math is getting to my nerves so I'm setting it aside.. hahaha..
I was supposed to blog about my ravings yesterday, but my idleness got in the way. Anyway, chill na for now. I'm currently reading Slow Waltz in Cedar Bend by Robert James Waller. I got the chance to read his previous work, The Bridges of Madison County, and it was damn romantic so I decided to buy this hardbound thingy for only P40. Amazing. isn't it? hahaha..

A Bucketful of Corns

Thursday, July 24, 2008 Posted by Aimee , , , 3 comments
Finally...

I'm back and i'm blogging again. I don't know how the thought started but it popped and I started typing in the address bar "blogger.com" XD

I wanted to keep this thing posted on my current whereabouts and stuffs like that but I'm kinda lazy at times and the keeping-this-updated idea remained only an idea. I don't know, I just can't find something to write and I'm even thinking that I'm not making any sense right now. hahaha. At least i'm thinking. XD

Anyway, there's this book, Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. I heard it from my friend, then I read reviews about it and that's it... I'm so fond of books (for the information of those who don't now me). I wanted to buy some but I'm living in poverty right now so I'm trying to keep my mind on other things. That includes making money. hahaha.. Heard about paid-to-click sites? Well, I'm on it and I'm desperate. And everybody in the group seems to swim in the same fondness.

Another thing...
Another academic year started about last month ago and along with that are the major subjects, the freaking majors. And I'm starting to feel the "real world" here and it makes my nose bleed. You know, the epistaxis thingy, I'm starting to feel it coming. It's another helluva semester. Yeah, I'm even thinking that last year's struggle needs doubling up and I can feel myself drowning with my frustrations. Especially with our advanced engineering mathematics. It's not even a major subject but I'm having so much difficulty with it and I guess my classmates are diving in the same sentiment. They say it's only, "mind over matters," but no matter how I mind-over-the-matter I still can't see the bulb light up. Oh God! It's not even blinking for God's sake. I, not only have a bleeding nose, but a cracking head as well. Crap!
Plus, we're having a seatwork on our Accounting tomorrow. I can't study right now. I don't feel like reading academic books at this moment, it makes the world swirl. XD

But I'm glad I have my friends to get by. We're all weirdos and we're unique. We laugh at our own mishap and laugh out more at our own corns-of-jokes. hahaha.. I'm laughing now. I can see the corn coming tomorrow. :D

banahaw

Tuesday, April 01, 2008 Posted by Aimee 1 comment

As i was rummaging my files, i suddenly bumped into this photograph. This was taken God knows when, i cannot really remember what date it was. All i see in my thoughts are the moments and laughters that the event brought.

Anyway, this place, we call it "banahaw". The place is in no way inviting when you first set your eyes upon it (i suppose).
But try to dip your feet into the water and you'll find yourself succumbed into its ravenous coldness. XD
It's a perfect refuge to the blazing fieriness of the sun.

No, no, no! I'm not advertising or whatever. I just want your thoughts to devour the boundless splendor of Maasin City. hahahaha...

There's a lot more to find out, i tell you... :]

so pissed of...

Monday, March 31, 2008 Posted by Aimee 2 comments
i hate this day down to its every detail...
i'm so pissed off... damn this day...

i was out while the sun was scorching hot.
the nagging heat was so intense and i had the feeling that i need to let this thing off my chest.
i wanted to yell... i wanted to scream... i wanted to shout my heart out!
i wanted to say something in particular but i can never find the words enough to define how unpleasant an emotion lurking inside of me. it's attacking me without prior notice (well i guess that's just how the way it goes).
the feeling is so inexorable... oh! good heavens...
how am i going to quench this crap.. i don't know if this thing is some sort of nostalgia or oblivion or whatever rubbish...

and if you'll ask me what the problem is... sorry deary! but i can never be sure right at this moment alone!
maybe i need more time to discern and to calm myself as well...

good thing i still have my cute and cuddly cheewee... =)

Love

Saturday, March 29, 2008 Posted by Aimee No comments
This is the passage i am bound to read in front of many others during my sister's wedding on April 19, 2008. It's gonna be a wondrous day and I'm so excited.

1 Corinthians 13

Love

1If I speak in the tongues[a] of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames,[b] but have not love, I gain nothing.

4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

8Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. 11When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. 12Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

13And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Sunset
. Red was having a fight with blue and yellow as to whom should occupy the larger space of the endless sky.

Vast. The sea was trying to be calm amidst the strong wind.

Cold. Warm was being pushed away by the vicious coldness.

Gloomy. Happiness was trying its very best to overcome a stronger feeling named loneliness.

Me. I was at the middle of everything.

Me. I was watching at the sunset.

Me. I was one with the sea as it tries to be calm.

Me. I was shivering as coldness drives warm away.

Me. I was trying my VERY best to overcome this loneliness.

This day never started out right, in the first place!.. got loads of exams, i don't know but whoever invented those freaking things, he/she is the kind of person i would hate for life...hahaha!

he's a freak, if you ask me.. conspicuously bad, oh! for student's sake... anyway, only the practical ones are really of use.. i mean, those matter-of-factly stated theories (i don't know if i said it right!), .. they're for what?? for board exams? but we don't have board exams... we IEs? we don't, for christ sake!... for our future field of work? haha, all can be learned through experience.. as they say, experience is the best teacher, right???

hahaha, there's not much i can say aside from "this is a helluva day!"

try to guess why i'm having this sentiments....

hahaha
